Weekend Getaway
Later today, Ryan and I are sneaking out of Tampa to enjoy a little RnR and celebrate our one year anniversary. We are staying at a waterfront resort, enjoying some nice dinners out (one of my favorite things to do) and spending a day at the spa! I hope to be glowing on Saturday.
I'm looking forward to this year's events :) and the years to come! It's been an amazing year; getting married, celebrating a wonderful year together and now expecting our first baby! Wow, that's a lot in one year but I wouldn't want it any other way!
Hope you all enjoy your weekend too :)

Iphone Photos
These are a few photos I found hiding in Ryan's Iphone photo library. I thought they were too good not to share :)
Can you tell how excited I am here? This was our gender determination sonogram that, by the way, was cancelled somehow when we showed up that morning. I thought I was going to cry! Ryan and I had looked forward to finding out for sure what our little nugget's sex was and when we found out, we wanted to share with all our family before Christmas. What great news, right?! Our appointment was suppose to be for 9am sharp. Ryan rushed all they way to their Bruce B. Downs location from work.. not making it in time. So it all ended up working out for the best when they scheduled us in for a 10am time slot. I couldn't have been more excited in this picture because it was a close call whether or not if would find out that day.
Here it is! It's a girl.. I know I have already posted this story about our sonogram tech asking if we were ready to know.. haha, right. So, I won't repeated the story but when we saw this on the screen we both were thinking the same thing.. pink!!
The baby being still.. doesn't happen much in sonograms with her. She's already character!
Here's a snapshot of Cori from Christmas when Laura was in town visiting. I can't remember why we were at Ikea but I had a lot of fun with Cori that day and she looked so cute in the picture that I had to add it :)
I also really love this picture of Ryan, Cori and David.

Old friends
To celebrate my good friend Vicki's birthday this year, my old friends and I hosted a Mexican fiesta in Orlando at Vicki's new apartment. Vicki has been out traveling the world teaching English and has made it back to the States for a while. What we thought would be a small get together turned out to be a celebration that included all of us! The girls and I spent almost all day in the kitchen making everything from guacamole to tortillas (from scratch). I only wish I could've enjoyed a corona or two with everyone :)
The boys! The girls!Sherian and Craig. Does this man not look like Zach Gailanakis?!
Ryan and I comparing our 'baby weight'. Ha! Literally, we have about the same weight gain at this point but I think I'll start beating him in the next few weeks. I guess the old wives' tale is true.
