Back to work!

Today was my second day back to work and I wanted to share that it was really a great transition.  It was hard to leave Jona Monday morning without shedding any tears but quickly after arriving at work, it was like I was home.  I had sort of forgotten but spending time with my students means so much to me and I know these kids really need a loving, fun person in their life.  So as my supportive, loving family has told me before my transition back... I'm not any worse for the wear, Jona is as happy as a clam (she loves our nanny Nahilce! and she'll probably be bilingual by the time she's walking) and the time we all have together as a family has been really special!  Thank you guys for all your support!  Love you all.

Jona, Bayshore and Me :)

This past Sunday, our little family of three had plans to head over to Picnic Island for a family jog to enjoy the beautiful weather that is gracing our presence.  However, after an all-nighter for Ryan and a trip to the mechanic for the Frontier our plans quickly changed to a family outing for Jona and I so Ryan could catch up on his sleep.  After discovering that Picnic is closed for a week due to construction, Bayshore was quickly our second choice!  This is the first time I've taken Jona out to Bayshore and I'm so glad I did!  There were kids, families and just happy joggers and walkers everywhere.. I was feelin' the fitness camaraderie.  Right when we pulled up a family was snapping their BOB into place and loading their little one up to go :)  I love our BOB.

It was such a breezy night and the first half of our run we were running into the wind and little Jona was holding up her feet, talking and playing away.  She's a fun running partner and I'm hoping pushing the stroller around is helping my running..

I know its hard to tell in this photo what this is but its a kiteboarder in the Bay.. which Ryan thought was a little crazy (maybe because of all the Bull Sharks.. Did you know Tampa Bay is considered a nursery for Bull Sharks? I guess all the mangroves are a good place for little Bullies to hide and grow while the big Bullies eat unsuspecting swimmer's legs.  hehe.)  and just below the kite is Derek Jeter's mansion.  I didn't realize until just now that I got a shot of it.  Would you guess that its almost 30,000 square feet?  His closet is probably the size of my house.

Anyways, I'll snap some shots of Jona this week while running and share them soon!  I'm looking forward to our first family 5K in a few weeks and have already told Ryan he has Jona and the stroller for that race :)

Until next time...

Supervising...

I took advantage of the gorgeous weather this morning by getting some yard work done while the little one supervised from her BOB. I couldn't resist sharing a few snapshots I took of her :)

Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather.. love & hugs to you all!
