Manasota Key

Ryan and I spent the weekend with our good friends JP and Carolina on an island just north of Fort Meyers and seriously had a hard time peeling ourselves from our mini vacation.  I mean, I've been working so hard hanging out with Jona, I just needed a break from reality.  But seriously, it was a great way to end Ryan's break from nursing school just before he started his second semester of school today.

Our second day at the beach house, we all ventured out on the boat to enjoy a little island time.  Honestly, I just don't know if there is any other way I want to spend my weekends during the summer!  It is so much fun floating around and taking the little one out!  Did I mention that the BOB was certainly the best baby merchandise investment ever?  We literally took it every where this weekend.  It's now been on a boat, used to jog on the beach and used as an impromptu baby rocker.

Here is baby J after her first swim... not a fan!

Wearing a swimsuit for the first time.. oh my.. I love you Gymboree and all your cute baby suits!!  I saved up this bathing suit for Jona long before she was born... too bad she won't be in it much longer.

A little snuggle time with Carolina :)

.... and snuggle time with JP!  hahaaa.

Well, our break from Ryan's hectic schedule is over and now we are back to grind.  Not too long from now I'll be back to work as well and I know he and I are both looking forward to Christmas break.   I hope this finds you all well and happy!

90 Degrees down, 90 Degrees to go...

I think the little one has found a way of getting out of her least favorite activity.  The past week, Ryan and I have seen more and more of these half rolls.  Once or twice in the morning and a few times during tummy time that lead me to believe that we might see the real thing not too long from now.  As Papa Joe would say, Keep it up Biggin'!

Tip-Toe'n

She has a while to go before she is really ready for this toy but I know she enjoyed looking around from this baby contraption.   I was a little surprised she could actually reach the floor with her little toes and hold up her head for such a long time.. way to go baby!
